Gas line catches fire at Kakrail

An underground gas pipeline in Kakrail area of the capital caught fire on Monday, reports UNB.

“The fire broke out around 2:15pm,” said Mizanur Rahman, the duty officer at the Fire Service control room.

Mizan said two units of firefighters rushed to the spot and put out the fire around 2:30pm. It was not still clear what caused the fire, he added.

However, there was no report of any casualty in the incident.
