Four train passengers killed hit by foot over bridge
Four passengers, travelling on the roof of a Dhaka-Dinajpur train, were killed being hit by a foot over bridge at the Raninagar railway station in Naogaon early Wednesday.
Two other passengers were injured and admitted to Naogaon Sadar Hospital.
The deceased are Jahangir Alam, 20, son of Abul Hossain from Boro Hamidpur of Chirirbandar upazila in Dinajpur, Aminul Hossain alias Bulbul, 29, son of Abdul Latif from Malipur of Sapahar upazila in Naogaon, Apel Mahmud, 26, son of Ramzan Ali from Titupara of Boda upazila in Panchagarh, and Munir Hossain, 20, son of Mafiz Uddin from Chaitapara of Parbatipur upazila in Dinajpur.
Police said six passengers on the rooftop of the Dinajpur-bound Drutajan Express from Dhaka were hit by the foot over bridge while crossing the Raninagar station around 3:00am, leaving four of them dead on the spot and injuring two others.
Santahar railway station master has already filed a case with the local Government Railway Police (GRP) station in connection with the incident.
