Electrocution kills father, son
A man and his son died after being electrocuted in Noakhali's Kabirhat upazila on Monday, reports UNB.
The deceased were Md Salauddin, 50, and his son Sohrab, 12, of the same village.
Kabirhat municipality mayor Jahirul Haque Rayhan said Salauddin came in contact with a live electric wire linked from the soil around 7:00pm while he was ploughing his land in Folahari village.
Seeing his father trembling from the electrocution, Sohrab touched his father to save him. Later, as a result, the duo died on the spot.
Office-in-charge of Kabirhat police station Mirza Hasan said a team of firefighters from Maijdi Fire Station recovered the bodies on information and handed them over to family members.
