Bangladeshi shot by BSF in Benapole
A Bangladeshi national was shot and wounded by the members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) along Putkhali border in Benapole of Jessore district early Thursday, reports UNB.
The victim is Israfil Hossain, 30, a resident of Benapole.
BSF members of Angrail camp of India opened fire on a group of Bangladeshi cattle traders when they were returning home with cattle through the border, leaving Israfil injured, said Imran Ullah Sarkar, commanding officer of BGB-21 Battalion.
Later, Israfil was first taken to Navaron Hospital and then shifted to Sharsha upazila health complex.
