Govt adopts zero tolerance policy against irregularity, says Quader
Road transport and bridges minister Obaidul Quader on Sunday said no-one will be spared if found involved in irregularities as the government has adopted a zero tolerance policy against it, reports news agency UNB.
“For the first time in the country, organisational action has been taken against president and general secretary of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) for breaching the party discipline and there’s no such instance in any political party,” he said while visiting Bhulta flyover work in Rupganj uapzila.
Punitive action has been taken against the BCL leaders and they were forced to resign from their respective posts, he said adding, “Prime minister Sheikh Hasina herself is monitoring the current situation and BCL activities.”
Police superintendent Harun-or-Rashid and upazila nirbahi officer (UNO) Mamtaz Begum Hasan were present.
