Bangladeshi killed in Australia road accident
A Bangladeshi was killed as a stolen car hit him on Bruce Hill Highway at North of Brisbane, Australia on Tuesday night.
The driver of the car also died in the accident that left his two accomplices injured.
The deceased Bangladeshi was identified as Shahidul Islam, 36, from Bagerhat district. He was staying with his wife and a child in Brisbane.
According to family members and police, Shahidul was returning to his residence after overseeing the construction works of his home he bought at Griffin in Australia.
The rashly driven stolen car hit Shahidul’s car on Bruce Hill Highway, leaving him dead on the spot, police said.
Queensland state police said they chased the stolen car which was speedily running along the wrong side. At one stage, the car hit Shahidul’s car.
Faruk Reza, Shahidul’s friend in Brisbane, said Shahidul was working in a reputed IT company. He was going to shift to his own house on Sunday.
