JU female professor ‘insulted’ by fellow
A female professor of the university submitted a written complaint to the vice chancellor as one of her fellow teachers reportedly insulted her on 29 August over a trivial matter.
Professor at the department of Botany Sadia Rahman filed the complaint against professor Atiqur Rahman of History department on 8 September.
Sadia Rahman said she went to the office room of VC Farzana Islam's house on 29 August to get a No Objection Certificate (NOC) for going abroad where professor Atiqur was working on a computer.
When she asked about his work, Atiqur misbehaved with her while Physics department professor AA Mamun, Statistics department professor MA Matin and office staffs were also present, she said.
The accused professor Atiqur Rahman said "I got aggravated as she had hurt me with words. Later, we tried to resolve the matter through dialogue."
