Restrictions in 7 districts from Tuesday

The government has imposed a nine-day lockdown in Narayanganj, Gazipur, Munshiganj, Manikganj, Rajbari and Gopalganj districts from Tuesday to stem the massive surge of Covid-19 transmission, reports UNB.

Cabinet secretary Khandaker Anwarul Islam came up with this announcement at an emergency press briefing on Monday.

The cabinet division also issued a circular in this regard.

The circular reads the restrictions will remain in force from 6:00am on 22 June to 30 June midnight.

However, emergency services will remain out of the purview of the restrictions, it added.
