A total of 12 organisations including Bangladesh Film Directors’ Association have declared to boycott Dhallywood star Shakib Khan for an indefinite period allegedly for his derogatory remarks about filmmakers and actors.
Secretary general of the BFDA, Badiul Alam Khokon, made the announcement during a press briefing at Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC) in the capital on Saturday afternoon.
Earlier, the actor was served legal notice on the same grounds. But, he did not respond to the notice, said Badiul Alam Khokon.
Meanwhile, as per the association’s constitution, BFDA cancelled the membership of filmmaker Shamim Ahmed Rony for continuing shooting with Shakib for his film ‘Rangbaz’.
