Eid during epidemic

Bangladesh on Monday celebrated Eid-ul-Fitr amid the ongoing lockdown enforced due to coronaviurs epidemic. No one has experienced such an Eid before. There were no shaking of hands or embracing following Eid jamaat at Eidgahs (Places designated for Eid prayers) or paying a visit to family and friends. No Eid jamaat was held at the National Eidgah or other eidgahs. Mosques host Eid jamaats while devotees maintain social distancing. Some even performed jamaat on rooftops.
