Lewis, Hope steady West Indies innings
Opener Chris Gayle was out for a duck but Shai Hope and Evin Lewis made 116 in the second wicket to bring West Indies back to the game in their crunch World Cup tie against Bangladesh on Monday.
Gayle could not make a single run in 13 balls and Mohammad Saifuddin only put and end to his miseries when wicket-keeper Mushfiqur Rahim took a brilliant catch.
Lewis and Hope now repaired the early damage. The partnership was broken by Shakib Al Hasan as Lewis's innings ended on 70, which came in 67 balls thanks to six fours and two sixes.
At the end of the 25th over, West Indies have 122 for 2, with Hope nearing a fifty. The opener has so far made 44.
