Soumya to lead BCB XI in warm-up

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Wednesday announced 12-member squad for the one-day practice match against visiting Zimbabwe at Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan (BKSP) in Savar on Friday.

Soumya Sarkar, who is not in the main squad for Bangladesh's three-match ODI series against the visitors, will lead the BCB XI in the practice match, reports UNB.

Zimbabwe will play two Tests alongside the three ODIs against the hosts.

The first ODI is scheduled to be held at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur on 21 October before the teams moved to the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium (ZACS) in Chattogram for the next two matches on 24 and 26 October.

The first Test will be held in Sylhet from 3 to 7 November followed by the second and final game from 11 to 15 November in Dhaka.

BCB XI: Soumya Sarkar (Captain), Mizanur Rahman, Fazle Rabbi Mahmud, Mosaddek Hossain, Zakir Hossain, Ariful Hoque, Afif Hossain, Saifuddin, Yeasin Mishu, Ebadat Hossain, Morshedul Akhter and Nayeem Hasan.
