Mane Garrincha National Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Brasília, Brazil. The stadium holds 72,788.
It was built in 1974 and named after famed Brazilian footballer Garrincha.
It demolished in 2010 to give way to a new stadium with a capacity of 72,788 fans and in order to reach the requirements for the 2014 World Cup. The stadium will also host some games in the football tournament of the 2016 Summer Olympics to be held in Rio de Janeiro.
