Duke of Edinburgh award for 37 DU students
A total of 37 students from different departments of Dhaka University (DU) received 'Duke of Edinburgh International Award' on Sunday for their achievements in various extra-curricular activities.
Among the students, three students got Silver Awards while the rest 34 others got Bronze Awards.
DU vice-chancellor AAMS Arefin Siddique distributed the certificates among the students at a function, held at the VC's lounge.
Director of Students Counseling and Guidance Office of DU Mahjabeen Haque presided over the function while national director of the Duke of Edinburgh Award Foundation Khondaker Mohammod Shariful Huda and chairman of the executive committee Rizwan-Bin-Farouk were spoke at the occasion.
VC Arefin Siddique said students have to participate in the extra-curricular activities along with their academic ones to make themselves as worthy citizen.
