Tree plantation programme held at IU
As part of campus beautification programme and improving greenery of Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia, a tree plantation programme was held today on the university campus, reports BSS.
IU vice-chancellor M Harur-Ur-Rashid Askari inaugurated the programme as the chief guest by planting ‘Krishnochura’ at around 10:00 am.
IU economics department organised the programme on the campus.
Chairman of the department of economics Debashish Sharma, assistant professor Farha Tanzim Titil, Assistant professor Shahed Ahmed, officials and students of the department were present on the occasion.
Around 58 types of fruit and herb saplings have been planted on the campus.
