DUCSU to distribute 100 bicycles in Mujib Barsha
Dhaka University Central Students Union (DUCSU) has taken an initiative to distribute bicycles among 100 financially challenged students of the university in the Mujib Barsha marking the birth centenary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, reports BSS.
The bicycles will be distributed among the first year students who have financial challenges and need bicycles, said Liberation War affairs secretary of DUCSU Saad Bin Kader Chowdhury on Thursday.
Students have been asked to collect application forms from the DUCSU Bhaban and submit those by 26 February to get bicycles.
“The selection process will be very transparent as we have planned to finalise the list after close scrutiny”, said Saad.
After scrutinizing the applications primarily, DUCSU will send the forms to the respective hall unions for further scrutiny, he added.
DUCSU will finalise the list based on the recommendations of hall unions and the house tutors, Saad informed.
