The police of India’s Bengal detained three Bangladeshi women on Monday for ‘entering Indian territory illegally’.
The detainees are residents of Jashore.
Quoting the detainees, the Indian police said brokers brought them to India promising to provide jobs.
They entered the Indian territory, according to the police, through Angrail border area of Uttar 24 Pargana district. The brokers then kept them at a house in Chandpara area of the India district.
The Bangladeshi nationals were detained after local people informed the police about their suspicious stay there.
The detainees were produced before Bongaon City Jucial Magistrate court on Monday.
The court sent them to jail.
