Advance launch tickets from Monday

The advance sales of launch tickets will begin on Monday for Eid goers as Eid-ul Fitr is just a few days days away.

Also, special services for the holidaymakers will kick off on 30 May.

A coordination committee on Eid preparations took the decision this morning at the Sadar Ghat launch terminal in the capital city.

The advance ticket sales will kick off at the terminal building’s ticket booths on Monday, said Inland Water Transportation Organisation vice chairman Badiuzzaman Badal.

Some of the launch tickets for the southern region will be sold online to facilitate Eid goers.

On demand, the special launch services will continue between 30 May and 8 June.

Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority chairman commodore M Mahbub-ul Islam, naval security and traffic wing’s director Abu Zafar Hawladar, naval police’s additional DIG Mahbub Rahman and Dhaka district’s additional superintendent Ramananda Sarkar among other were present at the meeting.
