Education minister Dipu Moni on Sunday said all coaching centres across the country would remain closed between 25 October and 15 November, a week before the JSC and JDC examinations scheduled for 2 November, aiming to prevent question leak.
She came up with the announcement while addressing a meeting of national monitoring committee on JSC and JDC exams and law enforcers at the International Mother Language Institute in Dhaka.
"Coaching centres have been asked to shut down to fairly hold the JSC and JDC exams. No coaching centre can be run during the exams," she told the meeting.
"There are some teachers who teach at their coaching centres instead of classrooms. This is very unethical," she added.
This year, Junior School Certificate (JSC) and Junior Dakhil Certificate (JDC) examinations will begin on 2 November and continue till 13 November.
