Police recovered the bullet-hit body a female in Teknaf upazila of Cox’s Bazar early Sunday, reports UNB.

Police suspects the deceased, identified as Samuda Begum, 40, of Satghoripara in the upazila, was a drug peddler.

Pradip Kumar Das, officer-in-charge of Teknaf Model police station, said police found bullet-hit Samuda lying on the ground at Laboner Math in the upazila around 12:30am.

They took her to the Upazila Health Complex where physicians pronounced her dead.

It seemed that Samuda was killed in an internal conflict of the drug peddlers, the OC said.

Police also claimed to have recovered 6000 yaba pills from the spot.
