Housewife trampled to death by wild elephants in Chattogram

A housewife was trampled to death by a herd of elephants at Uttar Guapanchak in Anowara upazila of Chattogram early Monday, reports UNB.
The deceased is Debi Rani, 45, wife of Arun Kanti Dey of the area.
Quoting family sources, upazila nirbahi officer (UNO) Sheikh Zobair said a herd of elephants swooped on the village in the night.

At one stage, the herd of elephants attacked Debi Rani while she was trying to flee , leaving her dead on the spot.
