Two quickfire innings from Mohammad Nawaz and captain Andre Russell after a brilliant fifty from Irfan Sukkur led Rajshahi Royals to 170 for 4 in the final of the Bangabandhu Bangladesh Premier League in Dhaka on Friday.

Nawaz and Russell added 71 in just 5.4 overs after the fall of youngster Sukkur, who slammed six fours and two sixes to make 52 in 35 balls.

Pakistan all-rounder Nawaz was the most deadly, hammering 41 in just 20 balls, thanks to six fours and two sixes. His captain fired three sixes to add 27 in 16 balls as the team posted a challenging total.

Winnng the toss, Khulna had opted to bowl first.

Mohammad Amir picked Afif Hossain (10) early, while his fellow opener Liton Das made 25 in 28 balls.

Amir was the most successful bowler with two wickets while Robbie Frylinck and Shahidul Islam grabbed one apiece.
