Man detained with 20 gold bars at Chattogram airport

Customs officials detained a man along with 20 gold bars at Shah Amanat International Airport of Chattogram on Sunday, reports UNB.

The detainee is Mohammad Ohidul Alam.

Khairul Kabir, assistant manager of the airport, said a flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines from Dubai landed at the airport around 9am.

Tipped off, a team of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate searched Alam's luggage on the boarding lounge of the airport and recovered the gold bars, he said.
