NU question paper leaked out in Rajshahi

The handwritten questions for the National University second year BA (honours) compulsory English examinations, which had circulated widely in Rajshahi city photocopying stalls on Friday, came to match the set question paper in the exam hall next day.

Some examinees said the cost of the question paper varied at different times of the day. While it cost Tk 1 to 3 thousand in the morning, in the afternoon it cost only Tk 100 to 200. In the evening, it came down to only Tk 2.

A person on Friday afternoon came to the Rajshahi Prothom Alo office with one such question to notify reporters of the incident. He said he was apprehensive if this was a question leaked out for the English examination next day.

When the examination finally began at 9:00am on Saturday morning, there was uproar about the uncanny matching of the handwritten question paper. After the examination was over at about 12:00am, the two papers were cross-examined. With the exception of the order, all the questions did completely match the photocopied version.

Rajshahi College vice principal Habibur Rahman said when he had come to know about the incident the night before, he phoned the National University examination controller for notification. But the examination controller insisted the question paper available out there would not match the original ones.
