Policeman killed in Ctg road crash

A police constable was killed and his two colleagues were injured in a road accident on Chittagong-Cox's Bazar road in Potia upazila of Chittagong on Monday night, reports news agency UNB.

The deceased is Avi Barua, 30, who had been working as a constable at Mansurabad police camp under Double Mooring police station.

The identities of the injured could not be ascertained immediately.

Avi along with his two colleagues was returning to his workplace at Chittagong Metropoliton Police(CMP) camp on motor-cycle when a truck hit the motorcycle at Indrapol area around 10:30pm, leaving one dead on the spot and other two severely injured, said Potia police station officer-in-charge Enayetullah.

The dead body was sent to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) morgue for autopsy and the injured were admitted at the hospital for the treatment, the OC added.
