Police have been trying their best putting their own lives at risk to root out drugs, terrorism and militancy from society and build a happy, prosperous and progressive Bangladesh, reports UNB.

This was said by Mohammad Zabed Patwary, Inspector General of Police while he formally inaugurated the Annual Police Gathering-2020 and Annual Sports Competition & Prize Giving Ceremony as the chief guest, which was held on Wednesday evening at the police lines ground, Netrakona.

Akbar Ali Munshi, superintendent of police, Netrakona presided over the inaugural function while Harun-or-Rashid, DIG, Mymenshing Range, additional DIG Akkas Uddin Bhuyan attended the Annual Police Gathering-2020 and Annual Sports Competition & Prize Giving Ceremony as the special guest.

Additional police Super now promoted to police super Syed Asraful Alam, additional police super Shajahan Miah, additional police Super Al-Amin, additional police super (Sadar circle) Faquruzzaman Jwel and others concerned officials from 10 police stations including their family members were present during the Annual Police Gathering-2020.

He urged all, mainly elites persons of the society and sought co-operation from all to give information to the police about drugs and militancy for the greater interest to save the young generation.

"Our country has been progressing day after day under the dynamic leadership of our Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina who has been working relentlessly to make the vision-21 a success," he added

Drug traders, irrespewctive of how powerful or influential they might be politically, socially very influential, none can escape justice, thanks to police, Patwary said.
