ACC director dies of coronavirus

A director of the Anti-Corruption Commission died of coronavirus on Monday.

Md Rezaul Alam, personal secretary to the state minister of public administration, confirmed this to Prothom Alo.

The ACC director was admitted to the Kuwait Bangladesh Friendship Government Hospital in the capital's Uttara about a week ago and died there around 7:00 in the morning, he said.

The deceased was an official from 22nd batch (administration cadre) of Bangladesh civil service.

According to the health department, so far 88 people have been identified as coronavirus infected in the country while nine people have died and 33 have recovered.
