ASI killed while chasing mugger in Dhaka

An assistant sub-inspector (ASI) of Kafrul police station was killed in a road accident at the city's Old Airport while chasing a snatcher on Wednesday night, reports UNB.

The duty officer of Kafrul police station said ASI Jahangir was on duty at gate number 9-14 at the Old Airport.

He was killed on the spot around 8:30pm after being run over by a bus while chasing a hijacker.

The body was taken to Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital.
