Road crash kills minor girl returning from Victory Day progs

An eight-year-old girl returning home after attending Victory Day celebrations in her school died after being hit by a tractor in Dinajpur Thursday, reports UNB.

The accident occurred around 11.30am in Ghughuratoli area of the district’s Chirirbandar upazila.

The deceased was identified as Sumaiya, daughter of a certain Monjer Ali of Fakirpara village in the upazila. She was a third grader of Daffodil School.

Witnesses said that Sumaiya was hit by the tractor while she was crossing a road in the area and died on the spot.

Chirirbandar police station officer in-charge Subrata Kusar said they have seized the tractor.
