2 killed in Cumilla road crash
Two people were killed and another one injured when a truck hit a motorbike on the Cumilla-Sylhet highway in Debidwar upazila of Cumilla district on Sunday, reports UNB.
The deceased were identified as Arif, 17, son of Sharif Mia and Irfan, 14, son of Matin Mia of the upazila.
Kamal Krishna Dhar, officer-in-charge of Debidwar Police Station, said the accident occurred at Phulgachtala in the afternoon when the truck hit a motorbike, leaving Arif killed on the spot and two others injured.
The injured were taken to Cumilla Medical College and Hospital where Irfan succumbed to his injuries.
Police also arrested the truck driver and seized the truck.
