Armed Forces Division supervises virus test of those travelling abroad

With the support of Armed Forces Division (AFD), the health directorate has started taking samples from the Bangladeshi citizens willing to go abroad at the temporary corona isolation center at DCNN market in Mohakhali area of the capital, reports news agency BSS.

The collection of samples started on Monday. It continues from 10:00am to 4:00pm daily through 20 booths, an ISPR press release said.

All the testing process was done under the supervision of civil surgeon’s office in Dhaka.

Passengers must submit samples 72 hours before their departure.

Photocopies of passports and tickets must be submitted at the time of sample submission while the original passports and tickets need to be displayed.

Each passenger has to deposit Tk 3,500 as fixed by the government as the fee of the test.

Samples would be tested at IPH (Institute of Public Health), NIPSOM (National Institute of Preventive and Social Medicine) and National Institute of Laboratory Medicine and Referral Centre.
