Fourteen more patients died of coronavirus and 1,273 people were diagnosed with COVID-19 infection in the last 24 hours as of Sunday.
Additional director general of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) Nasima Sultana made the disclosure at an online briefing on Sunday.
She also said as many as 328 people have died in the country so far while 22,268 people test positive for coronavirus.
Meanwhile, the government has extended general holiday till 30 May to tackle coronavirus which has already claimed 328 lives.
The DGHS official also said as many as 4,373 people have recovered so far.
Nasima Sultana said a total of 8,114 samples were tested in the last 24 hours. Of them, 1,273 people were diagnosed with coronavirus.
A total of 175,408 samples have been tested so far.
Bangladesh first reported death from coronavirus on 18 March while the first case was confirmed on 8 March.
