BEMMA director Shahin dies with pneumonia-related complications

Bangladesh Electrical Merchandise and Manufacturers Association (BEMMA) director Shahin Ahmed Shahin passed away while suffering from pneumonia-related complications at a city hospital on Thursday.

He was 55.

Deputy minister for water resources AKM Enamul Haque Shamim in a statement expressed his shock at the death of Shahin and prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul.

Shahin was buried beside his parents’ graves in Narayanganj after Zohr prayers, reports news agency UNB.

He left his wife, a son, a daughter and scores of relatives, friends and well-wishers to mourn his death.

Shahin’s parental home is located at Mauna village in Bhedarganj upazila of Shariatpur.

Leaders of different organisations including BEMMA president Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan, senior vice president Ashequr Rahman and vice president Kamal Hossain Mredul and president of Shariatpur Journalists Association, Dhaka Mozammel Haque Chanchal and general secretary Ataur Rahman expressed deep shock at the death of Shahin.
