Building catches fire at Banani

A six-storey building in Banani’s Chairman Bari area in the city has caught fire.

The fire broke out at around 9:10am, said media cell of fire service. Ten units of fire fighters are working to douse the flame.

Shahjahan Sikder, an official of media cell of Fire Service and Civil Defense said plume of smoke coming out of the building. The fire originated at the third floor of the building.

Fire service rushed to the spot at 10:14 in the morning, said the fire service official adding that the cause of fire could not be known immediately.
