COVID-19 cases reach 8,481 in Chattogram

The number of coronavirus (COVID-19) positive cases reached 8,481 as highest ever 445 people were tested positive on a single day in Chattogram over the last 24 hours till 30 June, reports BSS.

Civil surgeon Sheikh Fazle Rabbi told BSS said that today that two died taking the number of deaths from coronavirus (COVID-19)to 170 death toll in Chattogram.

A total of 898 persons were released from the hospital after recovery from COVID-19 infection till today, he added.

Rabbi told that a total of 45 new cases were diagnosed at Chattogram University after testing 151 samples.

A total of 31 new COVID-19 patients were found positive at BITID, Chattogram after testing 216 samples in the last 24 hours.

121 more new COVID-19 patients were tested positive at Chattogram Medical College Hospital (CMCH) after testing 477 samples.

Besides, 83 new COVID-19 patients were identified at Chattogram veterinary and Animal Science University (CVASU) after testing 233 samples, the civil surgeon said.

23 more patients were identified at city’s Imperial Hospital after testing 127 samples while 141 people tested positive at Chevron labratory after testing 280 samples.

On the other hand, one residents of Lohagara upazila were identified as COVID-19 positive after testing 10 samples at Cox’s Bazar Medical College Hospital.
