DMP detain 82 in 48 hrs

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), in an anti-drug drive, detained 82 people from different parts of the capital city on charges of trading and taking drugs in the last 48-hours, reports news agency BSS.

During the operation, 22,618 yaba tablets, 286 grams of heroin, 3.450 kilograms of hashish, five bottles of locally-made alcohol and three bottles of foreign alcohol were recovered from them, DMP sources said on Saturday.

A total of 48 cases have been filed against the detainees with concerned police stations under the Narcotics Control Act.
