ACC files case against Govt Edward College principal on graft charge

The Anti- Corruption Commission (ACC) has filed a case against principal of Government Edward College, Pabna Humayun Kabir Majumder on charges of corruption, reports UNB.

Deputy assistant director of the commission’s Integrated District Office in Pabna, Mostafizur Rahman, filed the case, said ACC deputy director Muhammad Arif Sadeq on Wednesday.

According to the details of the case, Humayun Kabir Majumder withdrew around Tk 570 million (57 crore) using fake documents from Agrani Bank, College Gate branch in Pabna.

He approved the withdrawal of the money from the fund of student’s council, development, admission activities and embezzled the money.
