He said when a bus carrying around 25 passengers made a stopover at a hotel in Sirajganj, around 27 robbers boarded the bus and assaulted the passengers and took away the mobile phones and cash from them.
They also raped a woman on the bus.
'Bus looted, woman raped' in Tangail
A group of robbers looted a Dhaka-bound bus and raped a female passenger on Tuesday at around 10:00pm.
The incident took place at a highway in Tangail.
Madhupur police station officer-in-charge Mohammad Mazharul Amin confirmed the matter to Prothom Alo.
