Man suffers bullet injury during Eid congregation

A man sustained serious bullet injuries during Eid congregation at Golabari area of Sadar upazila in Cumilla on Tuesday, UNB reports.

The injured was identified as Moshtaq Ahmed of the area.

The incident occurred around 8:00am on Tuesday, said Sahidur Rahman, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kotwali Model Police Station in Cumilla.

Quoting eyewitnesses, he said, “Rubel Bhuiyan shot at Mostaq over old enmity at Golabari area, leaving him seriously injured.”

Later, Moshtaq was taken to Cumilla Medical College and Hospital. He received bullet injury on his right knee.

On information, police rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control, the OC added.
