Shipra will seek justice till her last drop of blood: RAB

Till her very last drop of blood, she will seek justice for the wrong that was carried out against her, Shipra Debnath told the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) during interrogations.

At a press conference held on Monday at the RAB headquarters, the elite forces’ legal and media wing director Ashik Billah told the media about Shipra’s contention.

Shipra was released on bail on Sunday, after facing charges under the narcotics control act at the Ramu police station in Cox’s Bazar.

Quoting Shipra, the RAB spokesman said, “She said she would seek justice till her last drop of blood. Till the last day of her life, she would seek justice for the wrong that was done against her.”

The spokesperson said RAB will speak to Shahedul Islam alias Sifat. RAB will provide all protection to Shipra and Sifat.

The RAB investigating team feels that it is important to speak in detail with the eye witness of the incident Sifat as well as Shipra before they interrogate the former police officer-in-charge (OC) Pradeep Kumar Das, inspector Liaqat Ali and Nandadulal Rakkhit.

He said, the three accused were supposed to be taken on remand and interrogated today but that is not happening.

Ashik Billah said, RAB will also investigate the two cases at the Teknaf police station and three at the Ramu police station filed by the police after the Sinha killing. They have sought the police’s permission in this regard.

He said that RAB would be able to take on 10 day remand the accused in the case filed by Shahria Sharmin, sister of the retired major Sinha Md Rashed Khan who was shot dead by police in Teknaf.

The court that said that the remand could be extended in the interests of the investigations.
