Bangladeshi injured in firing along Sylhet border

One Bangladesh national sustained injuries as an Indian citizen opened firing along the Bangladesh-India border in Kalairag of Companiganj upazila in Sylhet on Friday, reports UNB.

The injured was identified as Sailen Kanda, 26, son of a certain Dev Kanda of Kalairag village in the upazila.

Kalairag BGB camp commander Subedar Harunur Rashid said Sailen was injured as an Indian national fired shots across the border at about 11:00am on Friday from the Indian part of Kalairag 1253/3S pillar.

Rashid further said the injured was rescued and sent to Sylhet Osmani Hospital.
