Bogura AL suspends Mahbuba for question paper leak

Bogura Awami League has suspended Mahbuba Nasrin Rupa from party’s district unit member post for her alleged involvement with a gang that leaks question papers of various recruitment tests.

Mahbuba Nasrin is vice chairman of Bogura’s Dupchanchia upazila parishad and Eden College Chhatra League’s former joint convener.

Detective Branch of police arrested Mahbuba from Dhaka on Friday. She was allegedly involved with question paper leak of a recruitment test under auditor and comptroller general.

District Awami League’s statement said Mahbuba’s activities are unfortunate and undermined the party’s image.

District AL’s president Mojibur Rahman told Prothom Alo that the party has made a recommendation to relieve Mahbuba from the post of executive committee member of the district committee and suspend her from the organization.

Local AL sources said Mahbuba Nasrin is also a member of Dupchanchia upazila AL.

Upazila AL president Aminur Rahman, however, claimed that Mahbuba did not have any post in upazila committee.
