District Awami League’s statement said Mahbuba’s activities are unfortunate and undermined the party’s image.
District AL’s president Mojibur Rahman told Prothom Alo that the party has made a recommendation to relieve Mahbuba from the post of executive committee member of the district committee and suspend her from the organization.
Local AL sources said Mahbuba Nasrin is also a member of Dupchanchia upazila AL.
Upazila AL president Aminur Rahman, however, claimed that Mahbuba did not have any post in upazila committee.
