Brahmanbaria gas cylinder blast kills 2 sisters

Two sexagenerian sisters were killed in a gas cylinder blast at their house in Nabinagar upazila of Brahmanbaria district on Thursday, reports UNB.

The deceased were identified as Jamila Khatun, 65, and her younger sister Hena Begum, 60.

The gas cylinder exploded as the two sisters lit the stove for cooking, said Aminur Rashid, officer-in-Charge of Nabinagar police station.

Physicians at Brahmanbaria sadar hospital announced one of the sisters dead when the locals took them there in a critical condition.

Another sister died on the way to a hospital in Dhaka for better treatment, said the OC.
