A police constable has been crushed to death under the wheels of a bus on Chattogram-Cox's Bazar Highway in Lohagara upazila of Chattogram.
The incident took place at 9:30 pm on Friday when he -- Maruful Islam, 22, of Chattogram Metropolitan Police – was riding a motorcycle towards home, reports UNB.
Sub-inspector Rafiqul Islam, in-charge of Chunati police outpost, said he was from Chakaria upazila's Harbang union.
"As he neared Lohagara's Chunati, a bus hit him from behind. He fell on the road, came under the rear wheel of the bus, and died on the spot," Rafiqul said.
