COVID-19 cases reach 2,903 in Khulna, 7 more die

With 219 new positive cases and seven deaths in last 24 hours till Wednesday noon, the total number of COVID-19 infected patients in Khulna division climbed to 2903, said a COVID-19 quarantine and isolation related daily report, BSS reports.

“The total number of COVID-19 patients now stood at 2,903 and the total number of fatalities remains at 43 in all the 10 districts of Khulna division,” said assistant director (Health) of Khulna division Ferdousi Akhter.

“We received 282 samples at Khulna Medical College (KMC) and other samples in Jashore and Kushtia laboratories in the last 24 hours till this afternoon and 219 of those were found COVID-19 positive,” she added.

The newly detected 219 COVID-19 patients include 58 in Khulna, 31 in Bagerhat, eight in Satkhira, 45 in Jashore, 16 in Jhenaidah, 10 in Magura, two in Narail, 39 in Kushtia, seven in Chuadanga and three in Meherpur districts in the division.

Meanwhile, a total of 706 have cured from coronavirus infections as 43 more people were discharged from the dedicated corona isolation hospitals after their recovery in all 10 districts of the division in the last 24 hours.
