The number of coronavirus (COVID-19) patients reached 3,385 in Khulna division as 194 new positive cases were reported during last 24 hours till Friday afternoon, reports BSS.
“The total number of recovered COVID-19 patients rose to 835 now with the recovery of 67 more patients in Khulna division in the last 24 hours,” director (health) of Khulna division Rasheda Sultana told BSS on Friday.
The official said the district-wise number of patients now stands at 1,445 in Khulna, 166 in Bagerhat,150 in Satkhira, 470 in Jashore, 165 in Jhenaidah, 97 in Magura, 134 in Narail, 497 in Kushtia, 203 in Chuadanga and 58 in Meherpur districts.
“The recovery rate among the total 3,385 coronavirus infected patients now stands at 24.67 per cent in the division,” she said.
The 835 recovered COVID-19 patients include 169 in Khulna, 48 in Bagerhat, 21 in Satkhira, 157 in Jashore, 71 in Jhenaidah, 39 in Magura, 45 in Narail, 146 in Kushtia, 116 in Chuadanga and 23 in Meherpur districts.
With the four deaths, the total number of fatalities reached 51 in the division including 19 in Khulna, six in Narail, six in Kushtia, five in Meherpur, six in Jashore, three in Bagerhat, two each in Jhenaidah, Magura and Chuadanga districts.
“Among the total 3,385 coronavirus infected persons, 399 are undergoing treatment at isolation units of different hospitals as 835 have recovered and 51 died while the rest of the patients are remaining in isolation at their respective homes in the division”, BSS quoted her as saying.
