Elderly man dies in isolation unit
A sexagenarian man died at the isolation unit of Shariatpur sadar hospital on Monday, reports UNB.
The deceased was identified as Majibur Rahman Morol of Kazi Kandi village in sadar upazila.
He had been suffering from breathing problem and undergoing treatment at the hospital since Sunday morning.
Munir Ahmed Khan, a supervisor of sadar Hospital, said the man came to the hospital with respiratory problems and he was sent to the isolation unit of the hospital.
He died there around 9:30am, said Shariatpur civil surgeon SM Abdullah AL Murad.
Samples of the deceased were collected and sent to Dhaka for lab test, the civil surgeon added.
