Fire at Gazipur Garment factory doused
The fire that broke out at a readymade garment factory on Wednesday morning at Chandona Chowrasta in Gazipur has been doused completely, officials said.
The fire started around 7.40 am on the 4th floor of a 7-story building of Apparels Plus Limited and soon engulfed the floor.
“After four hours effort, four firefighting units managed to douse the flames completely,” said Shahjahan Shikder, deputy assistant director (media cell) of Fire Service and Civil Defence Headquarters.
However, the reason behind the fire and extent of losses could not be known immediately.
No casualties were reported, he added.
