Four die taking ‘excessive liquor’ in Rangpur

Four people died reportedly after taking 'excessive local liquor' in Shadho Pushkorni union of Sadar upazila early Monday, reports UNB.

The deceased are Shahidar Rahman, 48, a meat seller of Paschim Keshabpur village, Abu Rayhan, 45, a tea vendor of Baniyapara village, Afsar Ali, 65, a night guard of Palichara Bazar, and Momdel Hossain, 62, a vegetable seller of Darshona Sutrapur village.

Vice-chairman of Sadar upazila parishad Masudar Rahman Milon said three of them died at their homes after they fell ill taking excessive liquor.

Abu Rayhan died on the way to Rangpur Medical College Hospital, said Sajedur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Sadar police station.

One more person who fell sick was admitted to the hospital, he said.
