Journo dies just before giving samples for COVID-19 test

A journalist died after suffering a cardiac arrest when he was waiting in queue to give sample for COVID-19 test on the premises of a hospital in Bogura on Thursday noon.

He was identified as Wasiur Rahman Ratan, 63, news editor of Dainik Bogura, a local daily, reports news agency UNB.

Family sources said Ratan along with other family members went to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital to get them tested for coronavirus infections in the morning.

He suffered a cardiac arrest and died on the spot around 12:00pm.

He worked for Dainik Karatoa and Dainik Muktobarta.
